Job Summary:

The Operator will operate Pellet Mill, loaders, forklifts and scissor lift. They climbs silos and tanks, shovels material, completes daily sanitation, lifts equipment and keeps track of inventory. Loads and unloads raw materials and finished products. Must be legible and accurate on all documentation.

  • Documents all movement and completes accurately.
  • Shovels, sweeps and washes plant. Completes needed daily sanitation work.
  • Uses wrenches when needed to service and inspect.
  • Follows all Company safety procedures, GMP and guidelines.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must be timely.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be willing and able to frequently stand, walk, bend, crawl as well as push/pull items while working in a fast-paced environment of varying temperatures and with possible slippery surfaces
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
  • Occasionally push, pull, up to 100 lbs. plus with pallet jack and with both arms
  • Occasionally lift up to 80 lbs. with both arms.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
  • Continually entering and exiting cab of tractor, front end loader, bobcat and forklift.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a facility that requires tolerance to cold or hot weather based on the season.

Position Summary:
You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a wheel loader and following mix sheets. Daily pre and post-inspection. Following correct loading practices. Maintaining the quality of product stockpiles. Safe workaround mixers and surge piles at all times. Maintain safe working speeds and promote leadership of truck drivers. Assist in the maintenance of loader and preforming daily preventative maintenance on the loader. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor; participate in safety inspections and plant safety program.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
  • Performs daily preventative maintenance – tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks, and all moving parts for proper function
  • Will take an active role in the plant safety initiatives.
  • Assist with training of co-workers as needed
  • Daily Pre and Post Inspections of work area
  • Safe Loading and dumping operations around mixers and surge piles
  • Following mix sheets and correct mixing
  • Proper quality control for product stockpiles
  • Participates in other tasks required by supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
  • Must be able to use hand tools and grease gun to perform all phases of loader maintenance
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
  • Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated, and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
  • Six months of experience in operation and maintenance of a front-end loader preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must have hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate mobile equipment
  • This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection
  • Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Willing and able to use a shovel when required
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Able to work from elevated platforms

Mine Creek Feed is looking for qualified candidates with a Class A CDL license to operate bulk auger or hopper bottom trucks. This position will operate heavy trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities:
Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions, and communicate updates.
Display a professional and courteous attitude to customers, co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues with an awareness of preventative maintenance. Inspect truck equipment and supplies (such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water).
Maintain driver and truck logs, in compliance with state and federal regulations, including work/rest periods and miles driven, as well as daily pre and post-inspection documentation.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Report defects, accidents, or violations
Strictly adhere to safety requirements, policies, and procedures as outlined in the employee manual and safety meetings.
Reliable, regular on-time attendance is required and essential to the operation of the MCF team.
Perform other duties related to or including operating hydraulic systems on trailers, truck and trailer set up for appropriate delivery, delivering exceptional customer service, and any other duties assigned by management

Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a truck driver; Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation of tractor/trailer equipment
Possesses a current and valid Class A Commercial driver’s license
Ability to work weekends, on a rotating & seasonal basis
Is physically qualified to drive a CMV; Possesses adequate health and agility to climb up and down ladders to properly unload feed and check customer bins, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
Can safely operate the type of CMV he/she intends to operate
Ability to maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (Electronic logs, GPS)
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, for example)
Must be at least 21 years old
Can read and speak English
No recent moving or driving violations; Is not disqualified to drive a CMV
Must have no serious traffic violations in the last 3 years
Must have no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; or more than 2 moving violations in the last 12 months.
Must have no more than 1 preventable accident involving bodily injury, fatality, or disabling damages to a vehicle requiring to be towed from the scene in the last 3 years.
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment references
